Lake Erie Regional Health System of New York Lays Off Dozens

Dunkirk, N.Y.-based Lake Erie Regional Health System of New York has laid off at least 40 employees from its Lake Shore Health Care Center in Irving and Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, according to a report by The Buffalo News.

The layoffs are expected to match staffing levels to patient volume, according to the report. Hospital officials would not comment on the exact number of affected employees, according to The Buffalo News.
