The strike involved 1,200 RNs who voted last summer to join the CNA.
The nurses are seeking their first collective bargaining contract, and are asking for higher pay and more staffing.
Contract negotiations began last September and the latest bargaining session was March 10, Patti Clausen, RN, BSN, chief nurse executive at Los Angeles Medical Center, told the Los Angeles Times. She noted hospital management is “open to bargain any time they [the nurses] ask us.”
