Here are four things to know about the openings.

1. Nursing, technician and administrative staff positions are open.

2. Houston Methodist is offering a sliding scale of signing bonuses of up to $10,000 for hard-to-fill posts, such as registered nurses, according to the report.

3. The health system’s talent acquisition director, Thomas Vernon, told KHOU employees have been encouraged to help Houston Methodist post for openings on Facebook, other social media, email and text “to attract the best talent possible.”

4. The hiring campaign began about a month ago. In that time, Houston Methodist has hired 80 new employees who got the $10,000 bonuses, and half of those new hires were referred by current employees who also got the same bonus, according to KHOU.
