Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital Lays Off 25

Fresno (Calif.) Heart & Surgical Hospital, part of the Fresno-based Community Medical Centers Health Care Network, has laid off 25 employees, according to a report by The Fresno Bee.

Some of the affected employees were in management positions, according to the report.

In addition to the layoffs, the hospital is delaying filling vacant positions as well as reducing hours of some services, according to the report. The hospital is making the cost-cutting measures because of lower reimbursements.
