Former Employees of 2 LSU Hospitals Can Reapply for Positions in August

Former employees of two hospitals within Baton Rouge-based Louisiana State University Health Care Services Division can start to reapply for positions with the hospitals’ new operator Aug. 5, according to a KATC report.

The two hospitals — E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe, La., and LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, La., — will be taken over by Biomedical Research Foundation Hospital Holding Co. Oct. 1, according to the report.

LSU Health Care Services Division laid off 2,340 employees from nine hospitals in the 2012-13 fiscal year, which ended June 30.
