Here are four things to know about the deal.
1. The hospital and the New York State Nurses Association, which represents the nurses, are not disclosing details of the agreement publicly so its members can see the proposal first.
2. A vote on the agreement will be held this week.
3. The pact covers some 600 nurses at Ellis Hospital and Bellevue Women’s Center in Schenectady.
4. The tentative agreement was reached after 20 months of negotiations. Nurses said pay was not their central issue and focused their public campaign on safe staffing levels, according to the report.
