Baptist Memorial Health Care Lays Off 23 Managers

Baptist Memorial Health Care, a 14-hospital system based in Memphis, Tenn., has laid off 23 managers, according to a Clarion Ledger report.

The pathology, cardiac rehabilitation and cardiac catheterization departments were all affected by the layoffs, according to the report.

The system cited increased charity care and lower reimbursements from the government as two reasons the layoffs were made, according to the Clarion Ledger.
