Over the last year, the healthcare industry has grown by 363,000 jobs, according to the BLS.
Last month, ambulatory health care services saw the most growth with 19,200 new jobs. Most of those came from home healthcare services (6,000) and physician offices (6,100), but outpatient care services also contributed 3,300 new jobs as well. All told, from March 2014 through last month, ambulatory care facilities have grown their payrolls by 269,200 workers.
Hospitals also added about 8,000 new positions. From March 2014 to March 2015, hospitals have added 78,900 new jobs.
The numbers were not as strong in the post-acute care space last month, as nursing homes lost 6,000 jobs.
