Following Global Reporting Initiative G3.1 guidelines, Cleveland Clinic describes its progress in environmental sustainability, diversity, fairness and integrity and how this progress supports the United Nations Global Compact’s principles in human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

Cleveland Clinic also explains how its strategic priorities promote environmental health and safety in the report. The document states, “Cleveland Clinic’s strategic priorities leverage U.S. publicly reported data to help drive improvement to patient care and outcomes across the health system.” For patient safety, the system tracks patient safety indicators, hospital-acquired conditions, infections and nursing quality indicators. For quality, Cleveland Clinic tracks mortality, readmissions and core measures. To improve patient experience, the system looks at public and marketplace patient satisfaction survey results.
