Via Christi Hospital St. Francis (Wichita, Kan.). Founded in the early 2000s, Via Christi’s Comprehensive Stroke Center has years of experience providing care for stroke patients from across the community. The hospital staffs a 20-bed neurocritical care unit and offers in-house evaluation for acute stroke as well as advanced neuroimaging. The hospital also provides care and access to clinical trials for epilepsy treatment through the Via Christi Epilepsy Center, which includes a 12-bed inpatient unit dedicated to clinical research. Via Christi Hospital St. Francis is the sole provider of 24/7 neurointerventional care in the region and ranks No. 31 among CareChex’s top hospitals for neurosurgery quality in 2018.
