The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center received National Cancer Institute designation as a comprehensive cancer center in 2016. The Greenebaum Cancer Center has nearly 200 ongoing clinical trials available for cancer patients. U.S. News & World Report ranked UMMC among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cancer care in 2017-18 and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association recognized UMMC as a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers.
