University of Colorado Hospital (Aurora). University of Colorado Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state. It became a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network in 2013, and is also affiliated with the Oncology Research Information Exchange Network. The center treated 8,272 new adult patients in 2014 and reports that 21 percent of its patients are enrolled in clinical trials. University of Colorado Hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers and is the No. 15 hospital in the nation for cancer care, according to U.S. News & World Report‘s 2015-16 rankings.
