The board was scheduled to consider Adventist’s proposal on Dec. 10, but has agreed to push the hearing back to February to allow the health system to make some key revisions.
A study by the board found that Adventist Midwest’s proposal was not in compliance with the project services utilization criteria (because of underutilization for X-ray systems in diagnostic imaging) and economic feasibility criteria (because the project’s costs exceeded the acceptable board standard). The decision to delay was made at about the same time as the report’s publication, said an Adventist Health spokesperson.
The planned center would allow Adventist to combine cancer treatment offered separately at Adventist Hinsdale (Ill.) Hospital and Adventist La Grange (Ill.) Memorial Hospital.
