The LRDP is designed to guide the university’s physical development through 2035 and support its long-term goals, according to the release. UCSF will seek input from the community as the university develops its plans.
Projects planned for the short term include the new Global Health Sciences and clinical faculty building and three new specialty hospitals at Mission Bay, according to the report.
UCSF also plans to bring San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center up to seismic standards. UCSF will consider Phase II of UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, which would add 261 beds, under a subsequent LRDP, according to the release.
UCSF previously established an LRDP in 1996.
