UCLA Medical Center, which houses one of the country’s largest heart and lung transplant programs, earned a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons UCLA Medical Center was ranked the No.1 hospital overall in California and the No. 12 hospital in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery in U.S. News & World Report 2016-17 rankings. The medical center was also designated as high-performing for heart failure, bypass and aortic valve surgery in its common care ratings.
