UC San Diego Medical Center-UC San Diego Health
UC San Diego Medical Center opened the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, a comprehensive heart hospital, in 2011. U.S. News & World Report ranked UC San Diego Medical Center as the No. 1 hospital in San Diego and No. 31 in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery in its 2016-17 rankings. The hospital was also designated as high-performing for heart failure in its common care ratings. UC San Diego is a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care and earned Magnet-recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
