Tufts Medical Center includes surgeons who have president of the Heart Failure Society of America, Heart Rhythm Society and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. The hospital includes the CardioVascular Center, focused on bringing specialists together under one roof, and the physicians are involved in multiple ongoing clinical trials with areas such as fixing holes in the heart and new pacemaker technologies. The hospital was named the No. 4 hospital overall in Boston and designated as high-performing for heart failure in U.S. News & World Report 2016-17 rankings. The medical center was also named to Truven Health Analytics’ 2016 list of 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals and recognized as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Tufts Medical Center has earned Healthgrades’ America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care Award for the past two years and America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention Award for three consecutive years in a row.
