UC Davis Medical Center (Sacramento). University of California Davis Medical Center opened new diagnostic and surgical facilities in 2010 to bring its heart and vascular care program to a new level. The teaching hospital is one of few in the nation to offer robotic-assisted bypass with angioplasty, which provides durable results and quicker recovery for patients. The hospital is a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care. UC Davis was named among the top 30 hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report in is 2015-16 rankings and is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence.
