UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center (Birmingham, Ala.). The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center to is the only center in a six-state area including Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, South Carolina and Georgia to hold a National Cancer Institute designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. The center is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers. Additionally, University of Alabama Hospital was ranked as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cancer care by CareChex this year.
