This means Truven is now eligible to compete for a range of government-sponsored projects that are limited to health quality experts who have demonstrated their ability to improve Medicare beneficiaries’ health. Through this certification, Truven will be able to help CMS conduct large-scale research studies and identify cost savings within the QIO Program, among other initiatives.

“This certification allows us to bring our robust big data analytics, technical assistance, and population health capabilities to critical CMS projects that are focused squarely on healthcare quality improvement,” Tonia Bleecher, vice president of Truven Health Analytics, said in a statement. “We are honored to have this opportunity to partner with CMS.”
