Top 10 states for cardiologist pay

Idaho has the top mean pay for cardiologists in the country, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Data from 2022, the latest available, showed the mean annual wage for cardiologists nationwide was $421,330. Although many states pay below the average, seven states have a mean wage above that. (Note: The BLS does not include pay data for all 50 states.)

These are the 10 top-paying states for cardiologists:

  2. Ohio: $503,900
  3. Indiana: $488,380
  4. Pennsylvania: $478,340
  5. Alabama: $466,030
  6. Maryland: $456,280
  7. Florida: $428,810
  8. Texas: $413,510
  9. North Carolina: $412,460
  10. Michigan: $406,270
