Three Hawaii Hospital Systems to Partner With University Cancer Center

Queen’s Medical Center, Hawaii Pacific Health and Kuakini Health System will begin partnering with the University of Hawaii Cancer Research Center, providing $2.2 million a year for operations, according to a report by the Honolulu Advertiser.

The new operation will start building a 150,000-square-foot home this summer, with a scheduled opening in 2013.

Participating hospitals will share facilities, personnel, information and other resources.
