Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals (Philadelphia)
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is home to the Jefferson Heart Institute, which includes more than 30 cardiologists. Part of the institute, Jefferson’s Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Center offers investigational treatments and state-of-the-art transplants, among a variety of medical and surgical options, for patients with heart failure. It is also the only hospital in the Philadelphia area — and one of only a few in the nation — to offer the Philips Brilliance iCT 256-slice scanner, which lets physicians image arteries and the heart more clearly to make accurate diagnoses of coronary heart disease. U.S. News & World Report has ranked Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as one of the top five hospitals in the state, and the hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care.
