Texas Children’s cancer chief retires

Susan Blaney, MD, has retired from her role as service chief of the Cancer and Hematology Center at Houston-based Texas Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Blaney was with the hospital for 30 years and began serving as service chief in 2018, according to a Feb. 3 news release from Texas Children’s. 

Donald Williams Parsons, MD, PhD, will serve as the Cancer and Hematology Center’s interim director.
