A new survey of a limited sampling of physicians by KantarHealth Research finds that 57 percent believe health reform would have a negative impact on their businesses, while about a quarter think the impact would be positive, according to a release from KantarHealth.
However, many of the surveyed physicians conceded that reforms could provide benefits such as preventive care and less use of expensive ER services.
Surveyed physicians also noted that reform would require a dramatic increase in numbers of physicians in primary care, especially family medicine.
The survey was conducted with members of KantarHealth’s All Global physician panel in September.
