Researchers developed a surgical intern survival skills curriculum designed to ease the transition from medical student to surgical intern. The curriculum included a series of lectures and interactive sessions on professionalism, medical documentation, pharmacy highlights, radiographic interpretations, nutrition and clinical pages. The interns rated themselves more confident after the course in 27 of the 33 elements assessed.
