OhioHealth Sues Cardiology Group Over Non-Compete

Columbus, Ohio-based OhioHealth has filed suit against Heart Specialists of Ohio, alleging the cardiology group violated a non-compete clause when the group was acquired by Ohio State University Physicians, according to a Columbus Business First report.

The group’s eight physicians, which are now employed by the physician group of Ohio State University Medical Center, dissolved their practice and joined OSU Nov. 1.

Heart Specialists of Ohio had been affiliated with Riverside Methodist Hospital, which is also in Columbus and owned by OhioHealth.
