The project is expected to cost between $35 million and $40 million and serve 40,000-50,000 patients annually, according to the report. The new facility will be built at the Corporate Center in Bloomfield.
It will feature a variety of medical services including ambulatory surgery, radiology, urgicare, chemotherapy and women’s care, according to the report. Physicians’ offices will also be housed at the center.
RUMC will also work to increase public transportation to the location to increase access to the facility, according to the report. The hospital also hopes that the location will bring patients from not only New York, but New Jersey as well.
