The 130,000-square-foot tower will consolidate all heart services throughout the hospital with the exception of open heart surgery, which will remain in a specialized operating room connected to the tower.

While lower floors will house patient services such as registration, diagnostics, invasive procedures and specialty nursing, upper floors will be devoted to patient rooms, according to a news release.
