Scripps Health (San Diego). In March 2015, Scripps opened the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute, the most comprehensive center for heart care in San Diego. It is also the largest on the West Coast for cardiovascular medicine, research and training. Scripps La Jolla Hospitals and Clinics, part of Scripps Health, was ranked No. 19 in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery in U.S. News & World Report‘s most recent rankings. In 2015, Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla was named to Truven Health Analytics’ 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals. Another Scripps La Jolla facility, Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, is the first hospital in San Diego to be designated a Magnet Hospital by the American Nursing Association for excellence in patient care.
