Othello Community Hospital, Columbia Basin Health Association Discuss Strategic Plan

Othello (Wash.) Community Hospital and Othello-based Columbia Basin Health Association, an organization offering family medicine and other medical services, have begun discussing a new strategic plan to collaborate on cutting costs, according to a Columbia Basin Herald report.

The hospital and health association aim to increase efficiency and save costs by working together. These efforts may include consolidating some functions and services, according to the report.

While the hospital had a profit of nearly $160,000 in July, the money came mostly from tax revenues and investment income rather than patient revenue, according to the report.
