West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas and Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Brunswick, N.J., are joining to expand access to oncology specialty care services.
The two organizations are working together to add oncology specialty services at University Hospital, a 519-bed academic medical center in Newark, N.J. Patients at University Hospital will have access to “radiation therapy techniques, cellular therapies, precision medicine and innovative clinical trials,” according to a June 10 news release.
RWJBarnabas, a 14-hospital system, and Rutgers Cancer Institute have announced several initiatives and projects in 2025, including a new breast health center and New Jersey’s first freestanding cancer hospital.
