The CBRI’s goal is to give Roper St. Francis patients access to cutting-edge technology and clinical research trials, according to the release. The CBRI will initially focus on Alzheimer’s studies and will later expand to offer cardiovascular, oncology and HIV/AIDS studies.
The institute is currently located in North Charleston but will relocate to a newly renovated area in Roper Hospital in Charleston later this year, according to the release.
