Review of Ambulatory Anesthesia Released by Auto-Digest Foundation

The Auto-Digest Foundation announced yesterday that it has released Anesthesia Volume 55, Issue 9: Review of Ambulatory Anesthesia.

According to the Foundation, the program will allow users to:
 
1. Understand anesthesiologists’ growing perioperative role.
2. Improve patient recovery quality postdischarge.
3. Learn and employ methods to minimize postoperative sore throat.
4. Conduct appropriate preoperative checks for ambulatory surgical patients with obstructive sleep apnia.
5. Understand the challenges of sedating or anesthetizing patients with obstructive sleep apnia. 
 
Programs come from Donald M. Matthews, MD, of Burlington-based University of Vermont and Kenneth Cummings, MD, MS, of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
