RehabCare Acquires Triumph to Make Third Largest Long-term Care System

RehabCare Group in St. Louis is acquiring Houston-based Triumph HealthCare, a long-term care provider, for $570 million, according to a release from RehabCare.

The merger will create the third-largest provider of long-term, acute-care hospitals in the country, with 29 long-term care hospitals and six inpatient rehabilitation facilities in 13 states, according to the Houston Business Journal.

Triumph HealthCare operates 20 long-term hospitals in seven states, and RehabCare partners with more than 1,250 long-term care facilities.
