The bifurcated distal end of the blocker was designed to resemble the bifurcation of the trachea to allow for safer and easier lung isolation and one lung ventilation by anesthesiologists. The device is designed to enable easy, quick placement with minimal risk of dislocation during surgery.

Teleflex currently offers clinically differentiated Rusch and Sheridan brands of endotracheal and endobronchial products.
