The race is the largest triathlon and the only sprint distance triathlon hosted on the north fork of Long Island.
Athletes will begin at South Jamesport Beach with a 500 meter swim, followed by a 16-mile bike ride concluding with a 3.1 mile run back to the beach.
Last year 300 athletes registered. Four hundred and twenty spots were offered this year, with 70 remaining as of June 21.
