Paul Levy, former CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, has just released his latest book, “How a Blog Held Off the Most Powerful Union in America,” which discusses how he and other leaders at Beth Israel used social media to hold off unionization efforts by the Service International Employees Union at BIDMC.
Specifically, Mr. Levy describes how he used his blog, “Running a Hospital” to build resistance to the union’s organizing efforts and the benefits of non-traditional public responses to union campaigns.
