Pasco Regional Medical Center to Close Labor and Delivery Services

Pasco Regional Medical Center in Dade City, Fla., will no longer deliver babies or provide postnatal care as of Sept. 1, according to a Tampa Tribune report.

CEO Shauna McKinnon cited declining birthrates, an aging community and increased medical and malpractice premium costs as the reason for the closure of the unit, according to the report.
