OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital (Columbus). This summer, the doors of the OhioHealth Neuroscience Center at the Riverside Methodist Hospital opened for the first time. The nine-story tower includes 224 private rooms dedicated to brain and spine patients. The hospital is a Joint Commission-designated Primary Stroke Center, and U.S. News & World Report ranked it as the No. 38 hospital nationally for neurology and neurosurgery in its 2015-16 rankings. Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence, Riverside Methodist is a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and has also received Healthgrades’ America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care Award, the Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence Award and the Neurosciences Excellence Award for the past three years.
