The Web site contains data collected through the Hospital Measures Advisory Council, which was mandated by the Ohio General Assembly on Aug. 9, 2006, according to the release. The HMAC selected the measures to be made public by the ODH that would be of use to the public, while minimizing the burden on hospitals.

Among the measures patients will be able to compare are:

  • Heart attack care
  • Heart failure care
  • Surgical care
  • Hospital-acquired infections
  • Infection protection
  • Patient safety
  • Patient satisfaction

Ohio Hospital Care is available from the ODH’s home page.
