New Orleans-based Ochsner Health’s Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program has been accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association, becoming the only program in Louisiana to earn the designation.
The ACHA accreditation recognizes programs that meet specific standards for medical services and personnel through a rigorous review process. Ochsner is now one of 58 accredited adult congenital heart disease programs nationwide, according to a Dec. 16 news release from the health system.
The program provides multidisciplinary care for adults with congenital heart defects, supported by advanced imaging specialists, interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and maternal-fetal medicine experts.
