The collaboration will allow NCH to access Northwestern Medicine’s clinical resources, including oncology experts and clinical trials, according to an Oct. 28 news release from Northwestern.

As part of the initiative, gynecologic oncologist Ed Grendys, MD, has been named medical director of the NCH Women’s Cancer Program, which will open a women’s cancer center on the NCH North Naples campus.

The partnership will also advance cancer screening and introduce patient navigation programs for NCH patients, the release said.

Northwestern Medicine is home to the NCI-designated Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.
