Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine has named Edward Schaeffer, MD, PhD, as chief clinical officer of the system’s cancer service line.
Dr. Schaeffer is chair of the department of urology and the Harold Binstein Professor of Urology, according to a June news release from Northwestern Medicine.
He will work to enhance the [system’s] approach to cancer care alongside Emily Kozak, senior vice president of administration; Gary Noskin, MD, senior vice president and president of Northwestern Medical Group; and Leonidas Platanias, MD, PhD, director of the Robert. H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, the release said.
