Northwell opens $32M cancer center

New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health opened its $32 million cancer center.

The Northwell Health Cancer Institute at Rego Park is a 70,000-square-foot facility encompassing two floors of the new Northwell Health at Rego Park facility in New York City. The center will provide oncology care, including breast surgery, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, head and neck surgery, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, urology, medical oncology and hematology, and supportive and ancillary services, according to a Nov. 28 system press release. Services are provided in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Hindi and Bengali, among other languages.

The center includes an infusion center with 42 private treatment areas.
