NorthShore-LIJ Acquires Behavioral Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility

NorthShore-Long Island Jewish Hospital, based in Great Neck, N.Y., has acquired South Oaks Hospital, a 233-bed behavioral health hospital, and Broadlawn Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 320-bed skilled nursing facility.

NorthShore-LIJ purchased the facilities from The Long Island Home in Amityville, N.Y., which operated both facilities.

The acquisition will make South Oaks NorthShore-LIJ’s second behavioral health hospital, following Zucker Hillside Hospital in Queens.
