The expansion of the heart center, formerly called the Missouri Heart Center at Kirksville, is located within the hospital near the critical care unit, emergency department and cath lab. Coinciding with the heart center expansion, two new full-time invasive cardiologists will join the hospital. Their addition will allow the hospital to provide 24/7 ED coverage for cardiology for the first time.
