North Carolina-Based Mission Hospital’s CON to Move Endoscopy Unit Denied

Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Hospital’s certificate of need application, filed to move an endoscopy unit to an outpatient center, has been denied by state officials, according to an Asheville Citizen-Times report.

The hospital submitted its CON application in March and sought to move the endoscopy unit from the hospital’s campus to a planned outpatient center in Fletcher, N.C. Despite opposition from other providers and state regulators’ rejection, Mission Hospital plans to appeal the CON denial.
