The program will prepare students to design interior spaces for healthcare facilities including large hospitals, critical care units, specialty health centers, dementia care and aging-in-place facilities.
The one-year program is in response to the healthcare industry’s rapid growth and growing demand for healthcare services due to aging baby boomers, according to the release. The program will teach both healing and restorative environments and the business of healthcare. Use of green design will also be incorporated in the courses.
