New Long-Term Critical Care Hospital Opens in Washington, D.C.

The Specialty Hospital of Washington at United Medical Center, a new 50-bed, short-term critical care facility has opened in Southeast Washington, D.C., according to a Specialty Hospitals of America news release.

The Specialty Hospital of Washington will feature 24-hour physician, nursing and respiratory therapy coverage for critical care patients.

The hospital will also feature four focused programs of medical of excellence, including cardio-pulmonary care, wound care, medically complex patient management and rehabilitation services, according to the release.
